Adventure companion
Based in Montréal, I am Martin Decelles, an adventure companion with a passion for real discoveries. Before hitting the road, I was a network administrator at IBM and then Hershey, back in the early days of the internet. I love the paths off the beaten track, while knowing how to appreciate a nice hotel after a full day. It is not about luxury, it is about experience.
From Africa to Asia, from Latin America to Europe, I have travelled the world with the conviction that borders, physical or mental, exist to be crossed.
I accompany travellers from Quebec and Europe who dream of discovering Africa differently: curious people, adventurers at heart, who also appreciate the comfort of a nice place to rest. I offer support in preparing and understanding the destinations, with a reassuring presence born of lived experience and adaptation.
When our paths cross, I share the road with pleasure, in a spirit of exchange and mutual discovery. Nothing official or structured here, just a human, warm and flexible presence. As comfortable in a bivouac as in a nice hotel, I favour natural immersion: encounters, intuition, the rhythm of the moment, rather than fixed scripts.
The passport: Germany, Cameroon, Congo, Ethiopia, Tunisia, India, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Cuba, the Azores, Bosnia, Croatia, and Canada from coast to coast. Next departure: Senegal in 2027.
